Many light sources emit a harsh light that changes the colour of objects and causes eye strain. In a control room which is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, it is vital to get the lighting right, to avoid eye strain and keep operators alert.

The best solution is virtual daylight lighting provided by SoLux lamps. These run at 4700k and generate a more natural, 'bluish' light, which is restful on the eyes and allows colours to be seen in their natural hue.
When used with a circadian lighting system, operators can remain active through the day and night.
